I found this yesterday at a garage sale. 9 inches tall. The vase is signed 1900 Gladys Holland Gouda 50(and a word looks like Plasuad? with either a 4 or a 9 to the right of it?) one triangle on a stick to the left of the house and also an X and 1900 incised markings in the pottery. My husband doubted it had value but I love it and it was 50cents! Really no idea what the date is or what it is worth but I know that it is more than 50cents. Would appreciate any info. thanks!
Quite Nice! and at a Garage sale price too. RER(BOB)
Hi.
Made in Gouda by Plateelbakkerij Zuid-Holland (PZH).
Decor is called 'Gladys'.
Date is 1929.
Probably painted by Cornelis Abraham Prins.
Model number is 1900 which you can also see incised in the base.
The number 50 is just an in-house code.
Hope that helps.
How kind of you both to reply. So I'm assuming that I can tell my husband that it is worth more than 50 cents? lol. Just joined the site to show him that I was right and will look at some of our other items to post.
kind regards!
Plasuad is actually Plazuid: a combo of 'plateel 'and 'zuid' ..... 'Southern pottery'. There is also a northern tradition of Dutch ceramics.
Gouda pottery is very collectible, due to it's quality and style of course!
This is a really wonderful piece.
If you haven't found it already check this site out:

Thank you for the link. and very helpful comments. Is there a website that shows values on comparable pieces?
eBay will probably have similar Vases on sale and will give you a good idea on value. RER(BOB)
