This artwork on these bowls is similar to a vase that I posted on here. The paint seems to have alot of texture to it. Too bad I chipped both of them accidentally the same day I bought them; nothing major though. The artwork is really nice.

You have a lot of nice Asian stuff Finder! Is that a deliberate trend on your part or is there just a lot where you are?
This being stamped Hong Kong probably means it is prior to the British lease ending in 1997.

racer4four, I got into collecting a couple of years ago when my parents coming from the local thrift shop brought back some nice looking items that they got for a cheap price. So, I figured one day I'd go and check it out and see what I would find for my home. Around the same time I had started watching t.v. shows like Antiques Roadshow, Pawn Stars, and American Pickers. All of which showed and talked about history and historical pieces. I kind of had an idea of what I was looking for by the things I had seen on these shows. The first piece I ever found was the Norman Rockwell lithograph that I posted on here. Over the years I've kind of focused more towards Asian stuff. I don't know why but when I'm out finding stuff I look for Asian stuff first then anything else that grabs my attention. That's pretty much it and I hope it answers your question.

      Yes it does thanks.
Interesting isn't it where we all start....we never finish though!
I've been an op shopper all my life and over the years collected lots of different things but I've been hooked on art glass last few years.
      Addict am I!
I get the Asian attraction. I'm into Japanese glass now!
