My photos are not too great tonight.. I purchased this at a warehouse sale a number of years ago and have not seen anything like it around where I live or found online.. It is old and a definite unique style to it. Heavy white wood frame goes from 15 " to the picture and out to 17" wide at the frame border. picture is 12" high. There is a border that appears to be under the glass, looks like a green almost foil looking background and the horse and greek-looking male at the front of the horse appear to be cutout and suspended from the green background.. Help??? Oh.. there is no signature I can see. The back is just the brown paper, partially ripping away.. no special markings at all. just old-looking wire.. Very heavy picture.
Wow! this is really cool! it's a midcentury diorama w/ a roman theme. i can see it on the wall in Cage aux Folles. this is the coolest new piece i've seen in quite a while. i'd categorize it as Hollywood Regency.
can you tell me if there is a lable on it? i think i have something that might be from the same company.
No label on it ho2cultcha ~ Thank you so much for your feedback.. !! What company was your piece made by.. I am just happy to know what the style is called.
I love it !! it reminds me of "FORNASETTI" ............
the lable on mine is ripped and i can't read it. there's only pieces of a couple words on it, so i'd like to compare it to others w/ lables. you can see mine here: http://www.collectorsweekly.com/stories/131457-midcentury-prints
Thanks, Sean68.. I looked Fornasetti up.. Very cool artistry.. I can see..
