This is one vase I have always wanted to acquire since slavetoglass posted hers. I am using part of her posting as an example. The picture does not show my exact vase but, one similar. I fell in love with the incredible iridescence once I opened the box. This beauty stands 8" inches tall and is in wonderful condition for its age. Thank you slavering lass for posting your beauty. Mint condition. Pics taken with natural lighting.

Lee nice piece of Harrach!
When I photographed the Harrach design books, the book with these designs turned out to be a real treat. Someone back when these were made cut out the original Silber & Fleming catalog photos of the pieces, and pasted them next to their respective drawings. This was really cool, because the drawings themselves for these articles only show the shapes, so one has no idea what the finished product actually looks like (many were decorated). I recall seeing these ball foot pieces in the drawing books. I take it the balls are hollow?
Brian, the balls are solid. The base being very heavy. I love the shape and design of this piece. And the decor has classic lines. I feel very blessed!
The one I have matches the drawing exactly, and the balls on that one are also solid. I've also seen a matching inkwell.
Warren, I am sure yours is gorgeous.
Agh, many thanks
