    Not really sure about this item. Been in my possession for about 30 years; always thought it was a whale oil lamp, but not sure of that or its period.

      Hello,
      Out of curiosity, does the burner screw into the reservoir? If so, what is the diameter of the opening? I have a miniature whale oil lamp (was considered a night light) with a 7mm threaded opening. Wondering if I'll ever find the burner type to fit this.
