I don't know anything about it, and can't find any other one online like it. It's neat and possibly rare due to no info.
I picked this item at a antique sale in Memphis, TN.
To me it's just a piece of history that looks to have passed through many hands as it is aged.
I would love to know if there are any others like it.
Cool box! I googled commanders cigar box George Washington and looked at images and there is one that resembles yours. It is on some cigarhistory site--might be a good lead
