    My dad was the 1st baby boy born in Louisiana in 1920. (his birthday was Jan 1st 1920 duhhhh) He was born at 12:01 am. So I know this chair was purchased before then as my dad was an only child and my Me Ma & Granddaddy had everything purchased & all fixed up before he was born. So I guess this chair dates back to 1919. It's in great shape as I have protected it ever since Me Ma died and it was given to me in 1981.
