But, there is No name on the watch it's self. My husband's Grandmother recently passed away and this was handed down to me. I don't no much information about this watch but, I sure would appreciate any information that anyone might know. Thank-You !!
On watches like this one the movement comes apart easily.
The case is like a box, some have hinged back.
Try to open it gently, some indications would be inside!
For me it doesn't seem costume, but white gold.
Riply206 ,
Thank you for your input & information on this watch. I am going to try to open later when I have some time to see if k(kyratango) is right because it really
doesn't seem like costume jewelry to me though. I'll post after I see if there's anymore info. By the way you have some really cool things in your collection. I haven't had time to post a lot of my item's but as soon as I do it seems like you know a lot about many different kinds of antiques, & that's just what I have, many different antique items. Thanks again.
Hi Kyratanango,
I really appreciate the information you gave me on the watch, I feel the same way, I don't think it's costume jewelery either. Later on I'm going to try to open it and see if there's more information. When I do I'll post again. I have A LOT on my plate right now, but my antique collection & this site is probably the my favorite thing to do to unwind. By the way I checked out your collection and there are quite a few item's you have posted that I have things close to "such as Antique Cameos, I love antiques. I'm going to add you to my follow list. Have a Great day. Thank's again!!
Hi Lisa288, thanks for the thanks ;-) and your interest for my collections!
Can't wait to see more of yours :-)
I'm always glad to help when I can.
Riply, at this time (1920'), these jewelled watches were custom made around a movement which was not fixed in the case! Bracelet was made of silk ribbon with a "pression" closure and slide.
Can't find any pic for the moment...
Just post one of mine to show the system :-)
Hi Kyratango & Riply206,
Kyratango, you were right I opened up the watch and there is Alot of inscription, inside but the main inscription was PLAT-ORNMT
18K
Ricus
and then it looked like hade inscription with had 5461oL
and the another number underneath which had the same amount of numbers & the letter L but my microscope battery went dead. When I have time & charge it I'll take a look again but if you know anything about what I already got off the back shoot me a message, when you have the time.
My microscope battery went dead or I would post the reading.
Found this one first:

Your watch is 18k white gold, platinum ornamented or platinum plated!
Ricus seems to be for Americus Watch Compagny (Google for Americus watch images, there are some similar)
You will certainly see more with your microscope.
