A fairing Conta & Boheme figurine

Two weeks ago Sergio bought at the flee market of the weekends two figurines. The seller, a young woman was convinced that their were Capodimonte and that what was impressed was an N thus, she ask a fery high price for each on 35 U$. Sergio told her more than once that this were german figurines. After four month without selling them we could had them for almost half the initial price. I beliere that this one is a bud vase and the other a match holder and strike. Sure they were a set, perhaps for a smoking table. Early Conta & Boehme pieces are unmarked, but after the late 1870s they adopted the mark of a crooked arm holding a dagger (picture two), earlier pieces tend to be better, as the pieces lost definition with wear and tear on the moulds. http://antiques-art-collectibles.com/collectible/ceramics/fairings.html
