vintage elephant lamp signed Fitz?

This is some type of metal. The tusk appears to be something other than ceramic and has striated lines in an umber color on it....the mark on the back is Fitz....I think....and then other letters and the number 8. There are white pieces of material along the back and front of the bottom that may be metal....they are not on the sides. The base measures 7 x 3 3/4" by 5/8" thick. The elephant stands 4" tall and 6" long. The whole lamp from base to the end of the metal pile before the electrical attachment for the light bulb is 9 1/4".......if anyone knows anything about this lamp, please mail me at nimue43@gmail.com. The beginning letter is curved like a J and there may be a letter after the z if it actually is a z.
