Asian dish with lid

This piece was made in Japan by the Takahashi Trading Company of San Francisco and features lucky flying cranes amidst crashing waves and clouds in the sky. There is a gold rim around the cover and also cloud in the picture is gold. I have the other dish but unfortunately I dropped the cover and shattered it :(
So I did not want to picture it without its cover.
