This is a bit of natures artwork !!
I was strolling along a shingle beach yesterday , one of the many along the jurassic coast in the uk, and this little 1" perfectly formed & whole fossil of something caught my eye ..
at first I thought it was a button or something from the Napoli (a ship that sank there a few years ago) but when I cleaned it up a little it turned out to be a millions of years old fossil..
I think its cool & thought id post it for all to see !! ;-))
Does anyone know what sort of fossil it is ????

I like and collect fossils myself this specimen seems to be silicified example of the echinoid (sea urchin).
No problem I have no excuse I just take bad pictures.
sea urchin or some kind of crinoid button?
