The name of this movie/cartoon is "Donald The Skater. I haven't seen it and don't even know if it's 8mm or 16mm or what. I really can't remember how I came to own it. I have picked up so many different items over a couple dozen years, they all seem to "run together". I will say that the whole thing appears to be in very good condition. I love anything that has to do with Disney or Mickey Mouse or Donald Duck or any of the rest of the gang. Many years ago I had the chance on several occasions to get original rare animation cells but didn't want to spend the money they were costing. Now those prices are mere "pennies on the dollar" compared to current prices. Oh well, "you snooze, you lose".

WoW! This is an awesome piece!! I used to own a theater promotion book from the thirties that had some great Disney artwork in it. This brings back the memory of picking that book up from a local flea market. Unfortunately i had to sell it. Thanks for bringing back some great memories though.

Hi Boxlunchkiller, Glad I could be of service in "poking" the old "memory banks". Thank you very much for taking the time to take a look, and for taking the additional time in making a comment. Have a great one!

It looks like it's either 8mm or Super-8. However, if it's a little more than half inch wide, it'd be Super-16.
    9. bahamaboy bahamaboy, 14 years ago
If it's one of the two, then it's definitely 8 mm. Not sure if it's super-8 but it didn't say any size on the box. But even though it's been put away and I actually don't even remember where I stashed it, I remember the size in my mind pretty well, and it was definitely 8 mm. The only reason I know this, is that because I just had out, my trusty little tape measure and looked on it and did a "recall" from the memory banks and 8 mm is what I came up with. Thanks for taking a look and thank you for taking the time to comment.

I have some old 16mm films and I'm sure some of them are disney, I havenot seen them since I was a teen. One of them was 'Little Black Sambo' plus some popeye stuff and some woody woodpecker....I figure I've got six or seven reels if I can find them, nothing to post here due to it's only the reels and I have no projector... So if anyone is interested please let me know................

Will do. You may want to search some people on here to sell yours to. I know they are funny about selling stuff on here, but I've already struck a couple of deals with folks here. One of the people I follow collects Disney stuff but I can't remember who it is. It says that he's interested, I think, in his bio. May be worth checking out if you're interested. Thanks for the comment.
      Regards, Kerry

Wow, I have met so many people here at C.W. that I'm starting to get confused. I just sent an email to a friend who's coming down to Florida in a couple weeks and he wanted to see pics of my boat. Then I got to thinking, my boat's no antique by any means but it is in the top three of my main interests outside family, and I think I'm gonna do like officialfuel did with his Corvette and post 4 boat pics here. Anyway I'm very appreciative of you liking my treasures, so stay tuned for one of my "main treasures". Also "good luck" in maybe picking up those Disney reels. Take care & best regards, Kerry

Can't wait, will keep bouncing back in to see if they're here yet, Btw my youngest brother lives in Florida also, I know it's a big state and all, but just had to say it. Oh, almost forgot Thanks for the heads-up on those reels, Kerry

Well, I posted it. But I'm not seeing the 4 pics on my end. In fact, when I clicked on it, there were no pics showing. They may not allow it since it's not an antique vintage item. If you get a second, check it out and let me know if there are 4 pics showing. Thanks Kerry.
      Best regards, Kerry

Yes pictures show up when clicked, I like it but I don't know about riding it all the way to the islands, lol. Looks like alot of fun, thanks for clicking on my stuff and have a great visit when you freind arrives, Best Regards, Kerry

Oh, I meant to add Kerry, I knew you loved and collected Mickey Mouse and Disney watches but didn't realize you liked the old reels as far as collecting. There is someone else I saw on here, or someone who made a comment I read that was actively collecting the old animation cells and reels of the old cartoons. And then again, it may have been on another site I've been on. But I was almost positive it was someone from C.W. See, when you hit 50, the mind is the first thing to go. Or I should clarify, it's "one of" the first things to go. There's the eyes, and the hearing, and the skin, the back, the knees and the mind and ... Did I mention the mind??

LOL, there was somebody you where chatting back and forth with , I think yesterday , with all the cameras and stuff, comment # 8 and this page i believe, he might be the one or BeatleJim55's wife has alot of older disney stuff, might be that, Btw I remember 50, barely, lol
    19. bahamaboy bahamaboy, 14 years ago
Barely remember 50, you say? They say it gets worse. That's definitely not something I need to hear, much less deal with. On the reels, I remember all the guys on this page and it wasn't any of them. I'll go check out Beatlejim55's wife and see if that's where I read it. I've noticed that even though this site's pretty big, there are close nit groups that kinda hang together like the one you and I are in. Anyway, I think it's all too cool. Have a great one. P.S. I got to study a lot of your watches and vehicles up close today. Wow you have some great stuff. The '60 truck, the AMC and the Camaro rock to say the least. "Keep Collecting"! later...
