Hello CW!
I want to share my tiny mate.
It is a souvenir of my country that I have since years ago.
Made in lead, only has 4 cm.
"Mate" its a tea, an infusion made with yerba mate and boiling water.
Its our tradition, also in Argentina and part of Brazil people sip mate.

Yerba born from a tree and the leaves are processed, crushed. You can find many types of yerba, soft, classic, more strong, mixed with digestive herbs, with flavors like lemon.
The sale of yerba its free and yes its exported. Im safe you will like it and as you said its good break the monotony :)

Found yerba mate yesterday & tried it this morning. OK but don't think it will be permanent in my routine. Expensive here too.

How people love mate for this lands the owners of these companies raise the price frequently.
With the pass of time, the body need the yerba benefits and belive me isnt so easy stop once you start with the mate routine.

Well Virginia, the box has 16 tea bags, so we will see. I tried it 1st before my usual iced tea today. No "out of body" experiences or anything like that. Just the usual virtual reality that I usually live with. I'm not a coffee drinker & wondering if that affects it? LOL! Maybe it's just not as strong as my natural high. Luckily, I found out long ago, that I don't need drugs! Guess I like myself too much the way I am. Now, that's a scary thought!

Im a mate drinker :) Im not use tea bags, I use the yerba into a mate with the "bombilla", and the hot water into a Thermo.
I have many years drinking mate but I do it just in the mornings, here people can sip mate all day. As you I dont need drugs but I think this type of healthy infussions are like adictives. lol!

Isnt a cup, its called "mate" made from a "calabaza".
Can be too a mate made of tin, older mates were made in silver, called "mates isabelinos"with many ornaments, great pieces.

Actually Virginia, I can get it loose or in bags, but my "tea-egg" is used for moringa leaves right now in my tea. I'll just have to try it some more and see (16 tea bags). $7.+. Better be good!

I think that isnt easy find the mate interesting in a short time, you need take your time, you need feel the body and mind necessity of drink it and Im safe this is in a long time.
Since old times people used the yerba mate to feel better, to feel power, to can work hard just with this infussion, maybe for this its become popular, a "cheap food", sad but true.

Very nice indeed, I'm a Australian & I noticed you love the word mate not being mean far from that more trying to help but the word can be over used, the first mate was fine the other 3 seem a bit out of place. If you wanted to use the word again you could of signed off thanks for looking mate that would sound a lot better.
