- Issued October 1, 1968 / postal canceled / no hinge, no gum
- Scott# 414 / Denomination: (2 1/2) cents / "Adoration of the Child"
- Image reproduction of a painting by Gerard van Honthorst titled "Adoration of the Child", although the stamp itself names it as another of his paintings titled "Adoration of the Shepherds" - both paintings were painted circa 1620. Gerard van Honthorst (1590- 1656) was a Dutch Golden Age painter.
- His painting "Adoration of the Shepherds" was destroyed in the Via dei Georgofili Massacre of 1993, the bombing of the Uffizi Gallery in Florence, Italy ordered by the Corleonesi mafia clan.
