Two Early 20th Century Snow Shovels

These were given to me as a gift. My uncle brought them back from Maine, and I really enjoy them. These were used to clear snow from the rails. Obviously, the one has seen better days, but still has great character. I am thinking oak? Red and white? Not entirely sure.
