I acquired this chair recently from a museum but don't know any of its history. It is made of oak. I don't see a manufacturer date. The fabric is tacked down with rusty nails. Can someone identify it? Could it be Renaissance Revival?

Just love these old chairs and the craftsmanship that went into them... And I love yours as it is right side up.... not like some chairs that are displayed on CW.
      Thanks!

Also looks to be a good match to the table in the background..

Thanks for all the replies! Phil, how do I date it?

Yes, the table in the back is very old and renaissance. I will post it some time soon!
Does anyone know of an inexpensive furniture restorer in Brooklyn, NY?
