I have had this painting for many years and went crazy trying to find out information about the history of it when I first got it. I was never able to find anything at all on the artist so I don't really know anything about it except that I love it! :-) Now that I know of this site and the group of people and their combined vast knowledge - I am hoping someone out there is familiar with the artist and can share some information about the painting with me?

Martin Dillon has a style similar to this. The signature on your painting resembles his somewhat. The style of his "D" matches yours on one of his paintings and the way the double "L" looks on yours matches another one of his paintings. Maybe he signed depending on how the painting inspired him. The only thing is he usually signed his full name. Another artist who resembles this signature but not the style of painting is Pat Dillon. He only signs his last name and on some paintings, in red, like yours.
Have you been able to find out anything additional about this painting? I have one too, the signature is exactly the same but in brown.
