This purse measures 6.5" long x 4" high. I picked up this purse at an estate sale in Indian Land, SC. Whether I ever sell it or not is fine by me, because I was attracted to it because of how unique it was. So unique in fact that I cannot find another like it on the internet so far. The closest I have come is a heart shaped purse that is similar with the pearl inlay and then another brass only purse photo I saw on this site. I would be curious if there is a number under the latches on those purses as well. I just finished writing to "GlobalGirl" who owns the heart shaped purse. I looked her up on Facebook. My purse has an etched #14 which leads me to believe it may be the only one of its kind in a group that was created. I would certainly be interested in finding out more about it. I added this to the Art Nouveau category because the heart shaped purse that was similar online was found at a Vintage Art Nouveau exhibit in LA.
I have one also and it has no. 4 on it. I am also trying to locate more info on it.
