    a dear friend of mine past away, she said these were her mothers from when her mother was a child. can anyone tell me anything factual about them? im not sure what to do with them. thank you

      These chairs are awesome! Sorry to hear of your friends passing. I take it there are no other relatives to give these too?

      It seems I never know the makers name on the chairs I acquire, so I can't help you there, but I can say these chairs are quite unique to me...I'd keep them! I'm sure you could turn these chairs quite easily, even without fixing them. Especially if you don't do woodwork, don't try. I found that out the hard way a long time ago. I changed a round piece of wood into a perfect square in seconds flat!!! LOL...

      I would agree they are vintage but I suspect they are very close to or are antiques. They have seen the usual repairs of different times. Scotch fasteners and wound wire. The slab seat speaks for itself as well. Measure the thickness of the seat of a modern chair and compare it. If you plan selling leave them alone they won't go down in value.
