Even though Loetz Rainbow glass had been documented as Loetz in the book Lötz Böhmisches Glas 1880 - 1940 - Band 1 since 1989, this glass has long been attributed to Stevens & Williams (among others) purely based on conjecture.
It finally seems to be coming into it's own and people are realizing that it is in fact Loetz! My first piece of this was this wonderful console bowl that I picked up in the 1990's. I regrettably sold it some time after that, and always regretted doing so. Low and behold, the exact same bowl came up for sale about ten years later, and I was able to reacquire it. Strange how that works, but it was a very happy reunion.
The vase pictured next to the bowl I picked up a few years ago, and my most recent piece is this GIANT vase on the right. It measures 9" tall and 8" wide.
Brian, congrats! I love my pair everyday!
