Classic Early 1970's Stoneware Bride and Groom Salt and Pepper Shakers, made in the style of Lisa Larsen Pottery which was wildly popular during this era. They are signed by June Polter from Naples Florida and dated, they are both signed and dated. I have researched endlessly and can't find any thing about this potter. They are so well made I keep feeling like there just HAS to be others out there from this potter. Any one have any ideas?
I agree she couldn't have just made these with the skill and creativity shown.

I think the name on the bottom was the owner of the shakers, not the maker. Hmm...
I found another pair online with the same impression that yours have on the bottom. They are Fitz & Floyd and from the 1980's.
There's a June Polter (89) in Ada, OH who used to live in Naples, Fl. Maybe you could give her a call?
Thanks everyone for looking,@ thegoodsgirl I thought about about the shakers being signed for a wedding but wondering if they would be signed the groom & bride's names. I will check Fitz and Floyd .

Interesting , I found two active listings on Ebay when I searched Bride Groom Fitz and Floyd shakers , one has a glazed bottom, the other is not signed. I think I will send an email inquiry to Fitz and Floyd and see if they have an ideas. I love a good mystery! Thanks everyone - you all have been very helpful.
Oh, and mine is dated : 3/15/74. I'll let you all know if I find out anything interesting.
I heard back from them, rather quickly too! Great Customer Service. I provided a link to this thread so they could see the pics. The answer was "The name on the bottom of the salt & pepper shakers appears to be hand written, so it was not produced with that name. We are also unable to verify any additional information about “June Polter”. It is also unclear that these are one of our products ".
So the mystery continues...FYI the signing was made in wet clay.
