Restored this very rare Merryweather Twin Cylinder Water Pump which I found broken and in a bad way.

I think it's late 19th early 20th century but to be honest I can't find any info on it anywhere.

Makes a nice feature in the garden and I'm thinking about connecting up to a Lister or Petter engine and running for fun.

If you have any info please share I'd love to know more about it, thanks and enjoy pics.

I wonder if you found any foundry markings in the cast? If this had been made by a company named Merryweather their name should have been in the cast as opposed to being added on a plaque. Kind of like Ford makes cars but the dealer applies their sticker.

      Darn good looking restoration job.

PS: I know Merryweather made fire fighting wagons and engines but I believe a different company made their pumps.

I want to see the Lister! I ran my club in Jamaica (or tried to) for about 6 mos. until we finally cut the switch chain & turned on the power! "Putt-putt". LOL. Turn on a blender in the bar & the lights dimmed! LOL. Great memories though & you just brought them back. I thank you for that! LMAO!!!!!

Thank you fhrjr2 for your information and comments, there wasn't any foundry marks unfortunately, I'll have to carry on digging for info. Many thanks again.

Nice one Blunderbuss2, restoring a Lister sounds like a good plan as the long, wet and cold nights draw in for winter. I've everything I need to survive the winter in the garage so won't be too much of a chore.
