My father found this in an antique store..there is no writings that I can find, but would like to find more about it since he has now passed it on to me..the glass is etched and there is a man and girl running around the bottom..it looks that all is original and stands about a foot and a half tall..any information I would appreciate! Thank you!
Have you found out much about you figural stem oil lamp?
I don't know anything about it unfortunately, yes it does look like hide and seek..my dad said that's why he bought it was because it reminded him of my brother and I

Check out oillampantiques.com. They have a plethora of figural stem lamps and lots of info. You can send them pics and a description and they will help you out. Try to be as thorough as you can in your description, i.e. what scene is on the stem, what adorns the oil vessel, is the base soapstone or cast, etc... info@oillampantiques.com

The lower stem & base are probably by EDWARD MILLER & Co. of Meriden, Conn. They made similar stems for other Figural Lamps that are shown in their 1881 Catalogue. However, the brass cup and font are not parts regularly seen on this base/stem and look oversize for the base/stem. Could they be replacements? The collar on the lamp looks like a Fine lines one seen on lamps of this era. RER(BOB)
