Singer Model 66 Redeye 1910 Treadle Sewing Machine.
This Dilapidated Singer Model was given to my wife by a church member.
Over a period of aprox. 45 days I tore it apart and refurbished as necessary, to make it a working machine. The two side drawer assemblies were missing when we received the unit. After much searching, I was able to find fairly nice drawer units on ebay. These also had to be stripped, sanded, stained to match and sealed.
The metal Treadle Base was badly rusted, the Machine Head was stuck solid and the Wooden Cabinet was cracked and badly water damaged.
I made a replacement belt from 5/16 inch oxygen tubing.
My wife now is able to use the machine while it sits on display in our living room.
Great job!

Recently pickup two more Singer's. One is a 1909 Treadle and the other is a 1949 electric model. Both are in need of some tender loving care. With winter just around the corner, and having to work in a cold garage, the process will be slower but at their age, a little more time won't really matter.
