I have had this since 1955. It was very old when my Father got it from the Wealthy Gross Point, Michigan family who was using it as a potted plan diplay in their yard that my Dad was a gardener in.
He obtained it for me.
I will be 60 years old in Aug this year.
I have photo copies of me in it at 4 years old.
It looks a lot like the 1929 Mack Dump Truck from Steelcraft. However no markings on it any where excepr chrome letters on the front nose reading SPECIAL DE LUXE
Also it has running boards that flow from the front wheel fenders.
I am trying to save it for my Daughter's childrens children. She is 30 now and has none yet.
I would really appreciate any information I could optain.
Thank you,

Not sure about the truck, But the typeface of the letters looks like Art Deco, Maybe 20s or 30s?
Thank you.
Is Art Deco a manufacturer??
Tom
so does the design def art deco style
No, art deco is a dryly popular fom the late 20s through mid 40s. There is a section on this website under Eras (last icon down). Hope this helps!
Sorry, I meant style, not dryly. Darn auto-correct!
The running boards are correct for the Steelcraft. My guess is the "Special De Luxe" is an old 40's Chevy or Plymouth car emblem that someone added. This is a valuable truck, definitely should be taken care of.
