I found these two vases. I know nothing about them other than they are the same other than the color. No cracks, chips or anything on them. I love them. I don't know about the year they would have been made or value. I have not been able to find others like them. A lady told me they were her mothers who had passed away about 15 years or so. The woman I got them from said she knew her mother had them for a long time. I only paid $1.00 each for them, but loved them at first site. Now that I know what Hull looks like I'll be looking for more pieces to start a beautiful collection. I'd love to know more about them. Thank you. Beverly
In my reference book
In my reference books, these vases have a wide variety of prices.
Rosson Price Guide, 9th Ed. lists them as made in 1947 or 1948, a high-gloss glaze w/pink or blue flowers on a glossy pink back ground. H-13 10 1/2 inches, $185-210.
Hull The Heavenly Pottery, 1999, $85.
Warman's Hull Pottery, 2006, $125-175.
Brenda Robert's Hull Pottery, 2005, $140-180.
Hope this is of some help. Good buy. Jim
I have the blue one. It was my mothers. It has survived 12 children, 40 grandchildren, and 20 great grandchildren thus far. It was put in a yard sale years ago but didn't sell, somehow made it's way back on a shelf. It now sits behind glass with our more treasured items. Thanks for sharing.
I have a vase like this except it is not a high gloss finish. The top flower is a pinkish and the bottom flower is yellow. Anyone know anything about this vase?
looking on the bottom it says, Hull art usa 9-10 1/2
I have a Hull Pottery vase-- Unicorn about 12" tall. What is it worth?
