My husband and I found this bottle when digging the foundation for our new home. We live in Paducah, Kentucky, and my limited research leads me to believe "Jack" was actually John Henry Beam, brother of Jim Beam. Jack had a distillery in Bardstown, Kentucky in the 1860s and moved it to Paducah around 1880. Although the paper label is not intact, there is enough print left to clearly see the name. Anyone have any more information about Jack Beam? Thanks so much.

The markings on the bottom of the bottle read "Full 1/2 Pint" and the 1/2 has a circle around it.

Does anyone have an idea of how I might determine the value of this old whiskey bottle? I realize it's not in mint condition and that would negatively affect the value. But would it still be of any interest to a collector? I'm thinking it's more than likely a pretty rare find.
