Loetz Ausführung 57 vase, PN II-5499, ca. 1908

I was aware of a decor that was mentioned in conjunction with a series of paper patterns in Loetz Series II, by Jitka Lnenicková - but had never seen an example to complete the documentation. Thanks to a bit of luck, and the generosity of a friend and fellow collector, I was able to trade to get the first one that came to my attention.

The ground is crystal, marvered at an angle, with applied rim of green glass pulled into a "spiky' six-pointed crown. According to the paper pattern, this decor also comes in yellow-green ground with crystal points, and crystal ground with crystal points.
