    Jacques Boquay - Violin - Year 172( ).
Back in the 60's when my Great Uncle passed away, this was one of the few items which I really wanted from his estate.
My Father agreed and now over 40 years later, I am looking for information about this violin.

One of the photos shows the maker, the address in France and most of the date of manufacture. Note, the the last digit is missing from the date.

Have been in touch with Skinner, Inc an auction house. Will be meeting with a representative within the next two weeks. Looking to properly identify the violin and it's authenticity.
