Super cool pieces of history I recently aquired!
In 1953, Eastern Airlines decided to commemorate the 50th anniversary of powered flight with a special promotional film featuring Eastern's founder, WWI ace Eddie Rickenbacker. For their host Eastern chose Arthur Godfrey, a broadcaster who was also an accomplished pilot. The result, "Flying with Arthur Godfrey" is a stunningly beautiful portrait of aviation at mid-century.
