This is my third piece of Ueno glass and very different from my other pieces.
In a much more traditional Japanese style it has been made from clear glass with green, blue, white, and gold inclusions.
The rim has been finished with a white bead and fluted.
Even the foot has been fluted.
A quirky but to me very Japanese feature has been added to finish: rich red beads, or small prunts, have been placed on the outside of the bowl.
It is a most interesting and beautiful bowl.
Diameter 21cm (8in)
