found this at a garage sale,only paid $25.00 for it.its hard oak not a nail in it.I refurbished it.I like working with old furniture so you can see the grain of the wood

Nice looking restore. We have one almost exact but in mahogany that my mother in law bought when she got married right after WWII. We have the original mirror but the backing is well worn around the edges and bottom. These were really well built.
PS: You got a heck of a price even in the condition it was in.

Does anyone know if there would have been a chair with this dresser
I recently bought a set just like this one and it was 5 pieces. Hiboy, dresser with mirror, make up table with mirror (just like yours) and a stool for it, and a nightstand. What else do you know about this furniture. I bought it in Alberta in the Crownest Pass area.
