My robot ive been trying to find any info on for years!! I cant even find a name for this thing. As you can see on the pic its Gray color, 12'' inches tall, takes a 9v battery, has a jet pack on its back, two buttons on the back that run different noises and lighting. I got this toy when I was around 5 to 6 years of age, so about 35 to 40 years ago.. I do know its not a Battle Star Galactica robot / action figure and that's about it of what I know about it.
If anybody has any info or knows where to look please let me know, I will be very greatful. contact me at - firefrye@yahoo.com

The ROM Space Knight toy itself was the brainchild of inventor Lawrence "Bing" McCoy, who patented his notion for an electronic action figure (then dubbed "Cobol" by McCoy,
Rom was originally a toy invented by Bing McCoy Parker for the company in 1979 to support the toy, the company disbanded the Marvel Comics character who created a comic book dedicated to Rom. The comic was written by Bill Mantlo and Sal Buscema drawing. He survived the toy which sold poorly.
In France Rom appeared in the magazine Strange # 133 in 1981, the series lasted until No. 178 in 1984
