I dont remember the cartoon but its a wonderful find!!
Oh you didn't see this? It came on when we were little. Thank you vv!
Yes, my older brother used to watch that...read the book in middle school...perhaps it's sacrilege, but was not a big fan of the movies
Hi V! The hobbit is a great book! The movies weren't something I thought I would like, but they are pretty good! It was nostalgia when I saw this book. Reminded me of watching puff the magic dragon and school house rocks :)
hey jewels, I hear you I'm a bit of a sucker for nostalgia if you couldn't tell :-) Most people do like the movies...as far as acting goes I think Ian McKellan was the redeeming factor.
:) me too, a sucker! Ian mckellan, yes, and Viggo mortensen!
I knew you would mention Viggo...Most women do! (can you stop smiling while thinking of him?)
Haha, actually my fav character is played by Sean Austin, samwise gamgee, he's sweet!
*Astin
As the crowd chants RUDY, RUDY, RUDY....I liked his character in The Goonies, classic '80s movie...there we go again, more nostalgia
Oh yes, the Goonies! Awesome! And he was the son in War of the Roses, did you see that?
Yeah, Kathleen Turner and Michael Douglas right? Do not remember Sean Astin though...you got me on that one :-)
Oh that's a classic, you must see it again! Yes, Douglas ??s ?th??n
I switched the language on the ipad and can't figure out how to change back, brb
Oh that was easy, anyway, Douglas and Kathleen turner, and Sean Astin was the son, very minor part
Definitely, I forgot what a babe Kathleen Turner was back in the day...did we go a little of the Tolkien topic the post began with? :-)
Haha yeah, six degrees of separation :)
Absolutely!...so, so naughty
Haha :)
I've never seen this book... I'm a big Tolkien fan. The cartoon was fantastic! I'm sure the illustrations for the book are equally great. Super find!!!
Thank you toolate! The cartoon was great, I remember it from childhood, but haven't seen it in a long time. The illustrations are from the cartoon. Are you a fan of the movie series?
Very much so. In fact, in many ways, I think Peter Jackson's Lord of The Rings films are "better" than the books.... And I've read and re-read the books many times. Now his Hobbit films...not so much...lol...
I haven't seen the new hobbit (even though I own it), but I agree, the lord of the rings films are great! :)
