These two puppets are so cool and are made by Madame Alexander. I can't find out anything about them. The heads appear to be made of a composite material. The paint is still in great condition. The clothing is simple and made of a knit fabric. I would love to know more about these if anyone has information.
Tony Sarge made these marionettes for Madame Alexander and were often used for plays like Alice in Wonderland and some Disney shows. His name may appear on back of their necks . The tag is the Character . Date around 1030's. They are made of composition and very desirable to puppet collectors .Not sure which play your's represent . They remind me of Punch and Judy so I wonder if Ruby is a play on name Judy ;
a example of his puppets for Madame Alex

Manikin your knowledge is awesome!
Thank you Manikin--I appreciate your reply. These are hand puppets not marionettes. When searching I did see a few of the marionettes but I have never found any hand puppets. Do you have any info about them? Thanks for the link too.
Yes they also did hand puppets same age same designer for Madame Alexander.
Any ideas about value of the hand puppets?
