Old bottle found in trash in the woods.
It's olive green with a white enamel over embossed basket weave looking pattern. I can't tell what material the lid is made of. Bakelite? Plastic? Dunno. The bottom is thicker on one side than the other. I've never seen a bottle like this and haven't found anything about it in my one bottle book or online. My guess is perhaps a barber bottle (based on what I've learned, which isn't much). A friend knowledgeable of many things antique suggested a poison bottle because of the embossing, but I simply don't know!
Any ideas are welcome!
Any markings on the bottom?
Hi Jewels~~nope, nothing, no words or anything, on the bottom of the bottle. It's going to drive me crazy!
Haha hmm, is the cap threaded?
Hmm. Good question. I don't have it with me now, but I will check. The cap was stuck on there pretty good. It seems like it's plastic or bakelite.
Can you measure the height also? - If the cap is stuck on, I wouldn't try to force it as it may crack or break off completely.
