    Don't know anything about this sword. Anyone know when it might have been made or what it is worth? I think it is in rough shape.

      This is a US Army model 1902 Officer's Sword. They were/are the regulation sword of the US Army from 1902 to present, although more recent swords have mostly black plastic handles, older swords handles are found in Bakelite, horn and wood.

      Unless you can find a makers mark, I can't give you a more specific age.

      Should be marked on the blade near the hilt.

      Must be Henderson Ames Co. hm'ed,Notwithstanding the blade is rusted, you can try and fing by the hilt.I have one like yours.

      How do you ID as Henderson Ames w/o seeing marks??
