A glorious new Tango vase to add to the collection....
Just for a bit of fun, let's see if you can guess which one....
Then I'll add some close ups....
Quite tall this one at 9 1/2 inches.......
Cheers
Anne
I know...I know!!!...something in common with leprechauns???? .....:-)))
lol.....yes, you win...but you cheated....coz you had the headsup..and thank god its an oldie but a goodie. Got the Made in Czechoslovakia is i etched mark? Ive got a few with this. The pontil is smooth but not as turned as say a Loetz perhaps?
I'll put some more photos up now, probably end up sideways but hey, I never conform and I have no idea how to crop....
gosh 50%...lol...I really hate this bug.
So Green Tango.....I'm sure now youre all going to produce many green Tangos but they are still very rare....now for the elusive pink. I have a purple one but that seems to have disappeared to the daughters new cabinet...funny that!
You have some super vases!...:-)
no where near the calibre of yours and others but they keep me happy and out of trouble....lol
I guessed the 'leprechaun' because that's the one that would have given me immense pleasure too! A vase with special qualities......
Thats one bright collection :-)) love the colours & the newbe!!
wow very beautiful pieces!!
Love the colors, unique that's what I love
Oh thank you all...thanks Sean, flower girl, surf dub, sklo 42..although Sean you've seen most of them too.
Yes it's the green, been taking me ages to get one. Now I need the light green, it's sort of a mint colour. The I've seen it in the Loetz Style bowl/vases and I'm looking for the pink as well...
I knew which one too, but was tipped off. I was anxiously waiting to see it though. Really nice. Now for the pink!!! I recently bought an auction lot that has the matching vase in yellow orange, same shape and also 9 1/2 inches tall. Mine has a straight line acid etched "Made in Czechoslovakia" mark too. It is currently one of my favorites.
Great collection.
thanks David. Yes I'm chuffed really.
Funny enough I tried to load the sellers picture of the Czech mark but the photo is too small. I'll have to wait for a sunny day and take a pic outside as its very faint. No wonder ppl miss it, its very hard to see with he named eye.
I hope you'll send me a photo of yours or have you already? My memory is shot at the moment. I'll write to you tomorrow too.
yesterdaysglass, thanks for the nice comments. But we are never satified. I look at mine, in some places 3 deep and yet it still looks light on compared to so many collectors I know. However its not a competition, I realise that all the time. It's about buying what you can afford and want to enjoy. I have this lot to the right of me as I work each day and then to the left my pinks, greens and blues..and straight ahead the floriforms...found an amazing red pair recently. Will post soon as really hard to find any info...
Thanks everyone....
Nice collection! I love, love that green!!!
thanks Czechman andshareur.
Czechman busy since I stopped visiting every day but of recent only one a month..had to rellocate funds to hubbies poor Grandmother to help her out of a spot causing the disposable income to fly out the window. Have no regrets however in helping his Granma. There are things that become very important outside of collecting...but my circumstance has also restricted a lot of our normal activity....
Yes when you put everything together it looks like a lot but their are some gaps. Hopefully by the time you sellers hold your post Christmas sales, my glass allowance will have reinstated itself!...lol...
Nice to hear from you and hope you are well :)
