The acid-etched square "Made in Czecho-Slovakia" mark indicates later production. Most of the marked ones after 1918 have the oval mark, and the ones with the square mark I would assume to be be a bit later production. This is my second one of this decor, in a different form, and both have the square mark. This one measures 6 inches high, with a larger than usual polished pontil. The spots on later gold Papillon decor are often a bit more sparse than earlier ones, and much brighter gold in color.
Very nice have a top day
That mark seems to be pretty rare...nice catch.
very beautiful!!!
Nice piece of Loetz!
Do you know if they happen to come in any other colors besides pink, clear and blue?
Thanks everyone. Not sure about that one, I have seen these in Candia and green, but no other colors. as far as I know none of the shapes are in the books, but I hope to see a Series III book eventually to pin down the decor name or number. I suspect it will have an Ausf. number.
Thanks Dave. I don't recall seeing a green one, good to know. I wonder if the ratios are similiar to the "butterflyless" papillon pieces.
I can't find pics of the blue/pink ones I saw. They were up for auction at the same time but of course I was low on funds at that time. :(
If I end up finding the pics I'll post them up. Here is a blue one on here though

Here's another and it's actually in the same shape as the blue/pink ones I had mentioned.

I actually saw a green one recently. A pale green, but the color gave the spots a light blue color as with silberiris.
