This is a big and heavy charger. It is very pretty and the backstamp clearly states that it is a Moritz Zdekauer porcelain made in Austria, it is green an underglazed. The flowers seem hand painted, perhaps with the contour impressed seems it is dark and raised. There are another backstamp, it can be read MARCA REGISTRADA (in Spanish registered mark) and SEMPER SURSUM in latin means ALWAYS RAISING. This motto was part of the Kohn brothers brand and stickers before 1910 and the MZ mark is before 1909. In 1910 Kohn brothers won a prize in Buenos Aires, and I think that it is a sort of retailer backstamp. What do you think?
beautiful!!
Thanks Sean.
