For a time this gorgeous, one of a kind, extremely rare picture was a bit of a mystery, even to me as the date of image or origin was not known by the previous owner either. But just as I suspected since the beginning, the actual photo was taken in Lady Gracie's modelling era, in 1951, and was one of her earliest portfolio pictures. Another still of this photo series is also part of the collection.

Thanks Phil. First I also thought for that LIFE 1953 photo series, but she doesn't have any earrings here, plus her face on this photo is also a bit younger. This is a model video which was taken between 1947-49, during her early model career.

Here she is younger than on the picture, but the style of the photo resembles to a model shot instead of a movie publicity portrait. So that LIFE photo series you mentioned and this video put my guess to ~1951, as about that's the time she was this young and made these sort of fashion photos. Fourteen Hours, her first movie came in 1951, but that style is quite different, and the real movie role, High Noon came in 1952, which also different (I also have that original publicity photo in the collection.).
P.S.: This is the aforementioned High Noon publicity photo, which was taken in 1952.

And mystery solved! I was right. 1951 is the winning date, just as I suspected since the beginning. :) Here is the very same photo, dated to 1951.
