      Those "Dutch roofs" are common in this area, as their pitch enables snow to slide off of the building. Flatter roofs would not be able to handle the weight of standing snow.

      Love the old gas station pic, the old gas pump is a very tall visible pump.

      Very nice pictures. I grew up about 1 mile (as the crow flies) from that gas station. The building is still there today but most wouldn't recognize as the pump has been gone a long time since before I was alive. There is a tiny church across the road that is beautiful too. I may also be related to the young ladies in that photo. I have a long family history of Evans. Thanks for sharing.
