    Hi,

I found this old suitcase in my house years ago (an old anglican rectory). It has 15 sashs inside and I don't know for which fraternal organisation it was meant for. I believe it might be a women's organisation but I am not sure.
Can anyone help me with that?
And, by the way, these are handmade pieces.

    Thanks,

    Marie-Ève

Would love to see a picture of the suitcase -- looks to be civil war era...

CD -- Choir Director? Perhaps early church choir garb.

@trunkman: I posted the suitcase in another Show and tell (#137844).
@TubeAmp: Choir Director, could be. I'll keep searching.

This is so fascinating! Are you able to make out the patches? What is the white with black background patch and what is the gold patch on the left side in the second picture? Do you know the name of the rectory? Such great items!

@ Jewels: No, I don't have a clue about the patches as of now. The gold patch is actually a golden star. The rectory is located in Inverness, Québec, and was built near a church called St-Stephens. The place used to be called Rectory Hill. Hello, did you ever find out about the sashes? I love stories like this

A followup question. What are all the letters on each sash? I see CD, T... is there an A?

      Bravo pour votre blog!
Moi aussi, j'ai appris à écrire avec plume et encrier :-D

Tubeamp: No, no letter A. Only two sashes with letters, one has CD and HCR and the other one only has a T. They seem to be the ones for officers of some sort.

kyratango: Nous devons être de la même génération, et pourtant pas si vieilles... Merci pour votre commentaire.
