7" Tall
3 1/2 at the widest point.
Buddha on a lotus base both hands folded in the lap.
assumes the classic dhyanasana position, a posture of meditation in which the legs are locked in full-lotus position with the soles of the feet turned upwards.
Have no clue if it's really jade or the age. I had to go online and learn the different types of positions.......now I need to learn how to meditate.
I purchased this piece to sit on the marble stand you see in the photo's. Thought it would look beautiful and it does.
Any Jade experts out there that can give information on my little Buddha? Would be greatly appreciated.
Stone for sure, but what??? You may try a little scratch test on the under with a sharp steel knife. Jade is extremly hard and won't be marked!
Nephrite Jade is my opinion. Before I test/scratch I will take this piece to professional.
Look at all the pictures of this piece.

Thank you Jim I'm going to test it. I will post pic's of that scratch test once done. Thanks guy's :)
Well the scratch test showed white....but it's still beautiful.
