    This was originally issued in 1964 by Aurora. This one was released in 1978 by Monogram but it was issued in a green color similar to the Aurora kit. Do not know what happened to the mold after that as it hasn't been reissued since then. That doesn't count the Playing Mantis release which is a recast.
    Anyway I bought this one built up and painted. I removed some of the paint and repainted it.

      Absolutely, incredibly superb (but not as good as the King Kong model)! B.T.W it's based off the 1962 movie King Kong vs Godzilla.

      had one when I was about six. didn't know to use model glue so I used elmers white glue. no wonder it never stayed together!!!
