I did noticed that both thermometers slightly different, look at the first picture after number 30 - made in USA on the left side. Second picture after number 30 is 50 and made in USA on the right side.
If you have any thoughts about it authenticity I really appreciate it.
Not unusual to see variations in and around the scale on old Coca-Cola thermometers. The number under the top temperature is year of manufacture, so looks like these are 1948 and 1949. Both are authentic.
Still hunting for one of these myself! Very nice condition and awesome pieces!!
I still looking ine for my self and found that this has two different version. I grabbed those from google I wish I can have one right now????.
Thanks daddy_nobucks for expertise advice, I envy your collection.
Pickrknows - yes indeed its one of the rarest thermometer in the market now, Im planning to get one cheap and restore it myself.
The "cigar" thermometer comes up for auction frequently on eBay. With a little luck, a nice one can be had for a couple hundred bucks. In excellent+ condition they generally sell for 3-4. But a good deal comes around every once in awhile. Be patient and persistent and you'll snag one on the cheap. In most cases, restoration of tin signs diminishes authenticity and value.
