tallvase
(1 item)
I inherited this vase from my aunt who lived in California but I believe bought two that looked the same from a hotel in Hawaii that was remodeling. One was supposed to be very valuable and one was a copy. This one doesn't have any writing on the bottom. This is how it looked in her place years ago. It is approx. 7' tall. Can anyone tell me anything about it?
I have no idea , but it is a stunner and supertall , ive never seen anything like this before!!
Ive seen these large vases before theyre all different in pattern & style and look awsome in the corner of a room !!
You say one was valuable one a copy , its a shame you dont have a picture of the two ??
The second picture looks like the man on the horse has his leg on backwards or he broke it ?? Maybe double jointed ;-)
Its a very beautiful vase & I would love it copy or not ;-))
Wow, 7 feet! A friend of mine bought some very tall vases like this in Korea. I don't remember her vases having the detail in the painting like yours. I'm sure someone with knowledge will come along and help :)
OMG! That is sooo tall! And to ship it from Hawaii to anywhere must have cost 2 arms and a leg!!! It looks like a transfer piece to me and something this large if it were original, I don't know, would have to be perfect as the large pieces were made for the emperors.
There are others on here that do have great knowledge on these items...give it a few and you may get some really informative responses.
it must be replica as it can't be done by modern machines at this size. You could always find seams on the inside wall of any old vase higher than your knees.
