Can someone please please please tell me what year these were made. I can not find this information anywhere on the internet. I admit that after about 30 mins on two separate attempts to identify the year I have failed to find it. So again if you know when and can point me in the direction of said information. I will dance at your wedding or your funeral which ever you prefer! THANK YOU SO MUCH IN ADVANCE!

I think those caps came off the 1976 bicentennial edition RC Cola bottles. They celebrated America's bicentennial with state specific bottles and these caps to commemorate the presidents from those states.

In the mid-60s, my best friend and I (we were probably around 11) collected a set each of these or similar RC caps of all the presidents through Johnson. We glued them inside a shoebox lid. Of course I don't have mine anymore.

Two people here say 1976 one of you says
Mid 60's. Lol. Maybe we need to debate this a little more.

Riply206, thnx so much for the info. I see all sorts of RC bottle caps for sale on EBay and Amazon but out of al the RC Cola caps I never ever see these. Do you know how many presidents they put out in that series? Do you know which bottles they were included on. I have what appears to a regular bottle size cap..i mean regular bottle and then I have the same size cap different design on top says: Half Quart but they are definitely from the same series because the the presidents are in exactly the same style of print and the numbers beside them are in exactly the same spot and exactly the same size. I wonder were I can find some factual information about this as it seems to be either unpopular or very few and thus not much chatter I think the unpopular is probably the more likely. Thanks anyway and if you care to discuss this further I would be most appreciative! We can keep the chatter here or you can email me at erich.tackett@gmail.com the email is better for quicker replies because my phone tells me when i have new emails right when I get them! Thanx so much everyone and especially you Riply206 Thanks thanks thanks! Were do you want me to dance your wedding? or your funeral? LOL it sounds crazy but some people actually celebrate death as the next step in the life cycle so to them dancing at a funeral is like mandatory! lol

Definitely mid-1960’s. My dad had a country store that I help run from 1962 through 1968 when I went off to college. I collects those bottle caps and probably had 3 complete sets. That is how I learned my Presidents and in which numerical order they came in. Can still do it with 90% accuracy. Don’t know what happened to my collections. I think Johnson was the last one at the time. We would get all the discarded caps from the customers and pop the cork out of the inside of the cap to see which President we had. My younger brothers did the same thing. If RC did something similar in 1976 to celebrate the bicentennial I would jot know as I was stationed with the Army in Germany at the time.

Just found a box of these in my upstairs attic. 2-3 sets. Collected them mid 60s.
