This first image is of the Kingston Cake Company's (AKA Blue Ribbon Bakery) property. It is said that this regional facility was a good place to work. One of the bakery's big contracts was to produce Girl Scout Cookies for The East Coast.

This scale and stamp dispenser advertising item promotes The Grant Dental Lab, also of Kingston.

Both practical and whimsical, it generated a lot of business for Grant's.

I obtained this can and its contests as part of an auction box lot. Still containing much of its cleaner, this superior Scranton made product continues to work well.

Though no longer made in The Electric City, Liberty Metal Polish continues to be available, albeit with an altered formula.

Lastly we seem the Loree Colliery of the Delaware and Hudson Coal Company. Now demolished, this breaker was located in Larksville, PA

    Time marches on…..

The Kingston Cake Company's building is such a fabulous bit of architecture. Does the building still exist? The admin section with the curved frontage is fantastic.

Hi racer4four! Thanks for your thoughtful comment and observation. Sadly, the administration section was demolished many years ago. It was replaced by loading docks for trailers. Its loss changed the whole perspective of the complex.

The production part of the building still exists as a warehouse. However, a private school now owns the property, and there is some talk of them leveling the place, and expanding the school's campus.

As an aside, though the Blue Ribbon was a reasonably sized company, they were always community minded. One example is that people could order personalized freshly baked individually baked cakes from this Company. Another example is that they donated some land across from their building to the town of Kingston to be used as a playground, which still exists.
